OK, so this is the book I chose for book club reading. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. It's a Newbery Medal winner published over 40 years ago. The author died last September at the age of 88 but her birthday would have been on November 29th. That is one of the reasons why I decided to choose this book, in memory of this mother and grandmother. I've never read it before but I am really excited to. I think it's technically a young adult book so it should be an easy read for some of us. I hope you will join me in reading this book. Well, I just finished the book on CD. I think I really liked it. I was rooting for the main characters from the very beginning. And there were other characters that I fell in love with too like Aunt Beast and Mrs. Whatsit. The book was written for a younger audience but I found some of the situations a little intense. But overall, I really liked it. I give it 4 stars (out of 5).
I really liked this book too. I saw a lot of similarities in this book and the war in heaven. the IT was the adversary in the sence that he would make all the decisions for everyone and their would be no trial. I loved how to resist the IT the kids quoted visionaries like Abraham Lincon and Shakespear. Awsome book. Love wins in the end!
you both are so inspirational about the book. I have to admit I squeezed this book in during family holiday parties and I was a little distracted. But the book was adorable, and I loved that the kids where the heroes in the end.
