The Cruise - Day 3

On Wednesday we woke up early, had breakfast and caught the ferry to catalina where we then spent a lot of money and found some geocaches. The main mode of transportation on the island is by golf cart. The island is 22x8 feet and the majority of Catalina's 3200 population live in the main city of Avalon which is where we were ferried in to. I think over half of the island is a wildlife reserve and we weren't allowed to go there.

This is a view of our cruise ship from one of the watch tower like things. You can see a ferry loading passengers.I thought this sign was kind of funny. You could pay $2 for five minutes in the public showers. With the help of Dave's brother Tom, Dave managed to find 3 or 4 geocaches. The round building was built originally as a casino but was never used as one. Right now I think it is used to show and sell art.
