Happy Halloween... Bwa Ha Ha Ha

Well, here they are as promised, pictures of the girls in their costumes.

Teagan got brave and tried her costume on for the first time yesterday even though we've had it for over a month. And she loved it! She didn't want to take it off! Hmph, kids.

And then there is Morgan, who wore her costume almost every day since we bought it.

What Year Are You?

You Belong in 1986

Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

I Love Hair Color

It's been long over due, but I got my hair done today. Bre came over this afternoon and did some magic. I've been looking forward to this all week, it's about time I took some time out for myself. Here are just a few pictures of the whole process thanks to my talented daughter, Morgan. Of Course, Morgan had to get a picture of herself. I thought her picture was amusing, ha ha.

New Sandon Pictures

Hey, one with his eyes open!

Bad Hair Day?

Last week Morgan had a "Silly Hair Day" at school. At first she didn't want me to put any ribbons in her hair because she didn't want to look "cute", she was supposed to look silly.

Sandon Update

Arteriovenous Malformation is a spider web-like mass of very small veins and arteries. Because these veins and arteries are smaller than usual, there is a lot of pressure pumped through them and can result in hemorrhaging. We found out Sandon has what is simply abbreviated as AVM. Some of the treatments consist of a type of chemotherapy, or a radio-active solution pumped into the veins to kill them, or surgery to try and remove them (which is rarely very effective because it is hard to find and remove all of the veins, and AVM can grow back). Because Sandon is so small, the doctors want to wait until he's at least 10 kg (I don't know what that converts to in pounds) before treatment. More than likely they will try the solution to try and burn the veins out or off or whatever. I'm still trying to dig up some more info so I can understand what AVM is exactly. There is one thing I do know for sure. We are lucky that the AVM is not located near or around his nervous system or brain which could result in a deadly outcome. As you can imagine, I'm a little nervous about how this is all going to work out, so please pray for our peace of mind. And as always, I will keep you updated as new developments occur.

Cavernous Hemangioma?

What the heck is that? Well, it's like a strawberry mark but deeper under the skin so appears more blue than red, it looks like a puffy hematoma (a bruise). Sandon has one on his right forearm. We went to the pediatrician's yesterday for the standard 2 week follow-up and everything went really good. The doctor didn't seem too concerned about it but still wanted to have "the bruise" checked out by a specialist. So today we're making the trek up to Primary Children's to have an ultrasound done on his arm. Wish us luck. We'll keep you updated.
(You can kind of see it in this picture.)

Happy Birthday Dave!

Happy Birthday Dave. You are such a good daddy and a great husband. I'm grateful I was the girl that got you and that you waited all that time for me. ;) I hope you had a fun birthday even though we had the new little one to distract us a little. I love you!

Tagged

Thanks Gin, for the tag. Ok. Here goes.

Rules: Link the person that tagged you, Ginny. Mention these rules on your blog. Tell 6 unspectacular quirks about yourself and tag 6 fellow bloggers.

1. Every time I buy something new or get something new, I have to open right away. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning. Like I bought a Hooter Hider yesterday for Sandon and I had to open it in the car to see what it looked like even though I didn't need to use it. Does that make sense?
2. I can't wear gardening gloves more than a few times. They start to get dirt and grit and whatever else inside of them, and that leads to crap under the fingernails. Yikes!
3. I can't wear other people's shoes. they never fit right and to think that someone else's feet have been in them kind of gross me out.

4. I can't stand to watch people chew on ice or wood (like popsicle sticks). I just want to crawl out of my skin. Even just thinking about it gives me goose bumps.
5. After changing a stinky diaper, I have to take it straight to the monster garbage can outside. I can't have stinky diapers in my house. Dave, on the other hand, will stick it in the kitchen trash can. It just kind of rubs me the wrong way. Jeesh!
6. I rarely break away from the same shower routine that I've had for years. Shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, done.

OK, I'm not tagging anyone because Gin already tagged everyone on my list.
