Conference/Easter Weekend

As you all well know, Easter fell on Conference weekend this Spring, and so I followed family tradition by taking the kids on a long car ride so Dave and I could actually hear conference without being distracted. We had a lovely drive (without too much snow) down to Beaver making stops in Nephi and Fillmore. I would like to take the opportunity to thank my dear father, mother, sister, and brother for caravaning along with us.

Cute little park in Nephi, home of Momma and Baby Waterwheels.

I'm not quite sure how they made these flowers. Colored cement... maybe?

We also found a "trading" stop while in Fillmore. Dave was very excited to find "Joe's". Finally, after waiting over 30 minutes with saint-like patience, Dave brought home a "souvenir" that I'm sure he will treasure forever... until the next souvenir comes along. This store used to be a Zion's Co-op building. Hence the unprotected door with the pulley. They probably used to haul merchandise through that door. We had a chance to get a gooood loooong looook at it.

We also decided to stop by the infamous, but isolated, Cove Fort. I think my kids were not particularly impressed with the history and artifacts of the stone fortress but they were glad to get out of the car and run around outside for a little bit.
Thanks for going along with us Mom, Dad, Catie and Abe!
