Snow

I wanted to find some creative and inspiring poem about snow to stick on my blog, but I couldn't find one. There was one part of Jane Austin's "Emma" that stood out to me. Quoting the entire chapter of the book would take me forever so I will have to paraphrase some. It's the part where everyone is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Weston having a party and it just starts to snow. Everybody is in a panic to get home fast because they are afraid to travel in the snow.

"I admired your resolution very much, sir," said he, "in venturing out in such weather, for of course you saw there would be snow very soon. Every body must have seen the snow coming on. I admired your spirit; and I dare say we shall get home very well. Another hour or two's snow can hardly make the road impassable; and we are two carriages; if one is blown over in the bleak part of the common field there will be the other at hand. I dare say we shall be all safe at Hartfield before midnight."

-"Emma" by Jane Austin, chapter 15, paragraph 10

I was comparing there situation with the commute we have had to drive in the last few weeks. If one car gets blown over, we'll just hop into another one and everything will be ok. If only they could see us now.

I found some cool pictures on ksl.com. They are fun to look at but I warn that you will need a nice steaming cup of hot chocolate to drink while viewing. Just looking at them made me want to put on a few more sweaters.

This picture is of a tree in a park somewhere in Midvale.

A President Hinckley snowman. How cute is that! You can find it in Lindon

And this is a result of the major amounts of snow dropped on Ogden. The photographer says her trampoline in the backyard now looks like a pie.

Wow, those are some cool pictures. I especially like the Pres. Hinckley snowman. All those snow pictures against your green flowering background is ironic. :)
