He Loves Cake

Here are some pictures of our small little celebration we had for Sandon's first birthday. With me in school at night and grandmas and grandpas out of town and unavailable, we decided to have an intimate gathering of mommy, daddy, and big sisters. I want to apologize to aunts and uncles for not having a larger party and thank those who brought over sweet and thoughtful gifts.

Something's Missing

Teagan's Turn

Teagan's first year at preschool.

She would walk a little and then turn around to see if I was still there, watching.

She has been watching Morgan do this for years and is so excited that it is finally her turn.

Official First Day

I think there are 17 or 18 kids in her class.

Because Morgan was the first one in line, she got to hold the door open for everyone else.

Teagan and Morgan waiting before anyone else got there. We were only 10 minutes early. But I guess nobody else shows up until right before class starts.

She loved school! She gets to sit at the blue table with one of her little boyfriends from preschool. And she loved singing and reviewing her colors today.

So Ready For School

Morgan starts school today.


The first thing Morgan did this morning was get dressed in her new school clothes and put on her backpack.

Teagan also wanted to wear some of her new clothes and get her picture taken, so I indulged her.

(She doesn't start until next week but don't tell her that or she gets resistant and angry.)

What A Trooper

Sandon went to Grandma's appointment with me yesterday at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. He was such a good boy, especially considering he was there for 4 and 1/2 hours during his nap time. (Thank heaven for small miracles)

It's Where Fun Is

The first ride in the park.

Finally, the day came for us to take the kids to Lagoon. Morgan woke up at 6 am that morning because of her excitement.

I've come to terms with the idea that I have given birth to two dare devils. They rode on some if the big kids rides with me like Scrambler and Tilt-A-Whirl and were laughing the entire time.

Morgan was so disappointed that she wasn't quite tall enough to ride the White Roller Coaster, maybe next year

Sandon was sad that he missed out on the rides and that he had to stay in the stroller the whole night. ;)
